Held on 29 April 2026, the event provided a platform for exchange between UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany and NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO.
TAFISA Secretary-General Jean-François Laurent was, on behalf of TAFISA, one of the 20 selected contributing speakers and was able to highlight the importance of Sport for All and Sport for Development within UNESCO's wide and diverse mandate, past, present and future.
The online dialogue, part of the UNESCO80 initiative (launched as UNESCO marks its 80th anniversary), provided an opportunity for the UNESCO Director-General to exchange views with the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee and NGO partners on key issues related to the Organisation's work, as well as on perspectives for further strengthening cooperation between UNESCO and its civil society partners.
TAFISA thanks UNESCO for the invitation to join the online dialogue and looks forward to continuing and strengthening its collaboration with UNESCO to create a better world through Sport for All.
